 The 5th edition of the Biennale will feature 77 events (17 nuclear and 60 Parallel) with creatives from as far a field as Chile and South Africa descending on Lisbon for Opening Week. The Open Talks and Lisbon Conferences kick off this celebration of design and contemporary culture. Also on this week are the opening events of the Biennale exhibitions, special projects, urban interventions and debates in striking venues across Lisbon. For the duration of the Biennale, the Lounging Space will open its doors to all visitors. Boasting a bar, a bookstore and a terrace with a view over Lisbon this hub will also feature its own programme including several Parallel events, debates, exhibitions and video projections.
