ExperimentaDesign is a cultural biennale dedicated to design, architecture and contemporary creativity and a trademark of Experimenta, a Portuguese non-profit association.

Following the Opening Week the Biennale presents on 18, 19, 25 and 26 September the recital-performance As Passagens do Tempo – Histórias para um Futuro Próximo (Time Sequences – Stories for a Near Future), at the Museum of Electricity at 10 p.m.

What is a story? How do we characterise the fascination that these fictional narratives have on us? And what is time? And what is time within and away of the narrative path?
Time Sequences is a reading of short narratives about time and its ephemerality, crossing different formats such as video projection, real-time drawing and a musical component, and read by different actors.

This EXD’09 Special Project, co-produced with Produções Fictícias, is part of a book by Nuno Artur Silva, with real-time image and design by António Jorge Gonçalves, music by Armando Teixeira and cast by Marco d'Almeida, Sandra Celas and Rui Morrison.

Set between Bairro Alto and Príncipe Real, the Lounging Space is a must in Lisbon, combining a bookstore, several Parallel Events, exhibitions, winter garden, and a lounge café and bar that extends to a terrace with a superb city view. Open every day from 11 to midnight (Fridays and Saturdays until 2 a.m.) the Lounging Space is the ideal place for an al fresco meal or a coffee at the end of the day amongst friends in an enjoyable musical environment.
